Rescue Diver/Advanced Rescue Diver

 

Beginning scuba divers frequently ask the instructor what the best course is for them to take after their open water certifications. The response is almost always the same: get experience diving, then take the Rescue course. Students taking the Rescue Diver course come out of the program understanding the underlying causes of stress, how to try to calm a panicked individual, and if the need arises, how to manage risks and effectively handle in-water problems and diving emergencies, as well has how to perform surface rescues and rescues from depth.

NOTE: A current First Aid/CPR card is required for completion of either of these courses.  Also, if a student has aspirations of becoming a Divemaster or Instructor, these are required courses.
