Beginning scuba divers frequently ask the instructor what the best course is for them to take after their open water certifications. The response is almost always the same: get experience diving, then take the Rescue course. Students taking the Rescue Diver course come out of the program understanding the underlying causes of stress, how to try to calm a panicked individual, and if the need arises, how to manage risks and effectively handle in-water problems and diving emergencies, as well has how to perform surface rescues and rescues from depth.
NOTE: A current First Aid/CPR card is required for completion of this course. Also, if a student has aspirations of becoming a Divemaster or Instructor, this is a required course.
